The next residential EAYW event will take place from 5 – 8 May 2026 in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia. We are looking for three facilitators (including a digital facilitator) for the event.
The 4th EAYW event will focus on Emerging futures of youth work: How ready are we? It will invite youth workers across Europe (and beyond) to reflect on their current practices, the core principles and the societal role of youth work, in relation to the emerging trends, such as demography, technology, climate crisis, ongoing world conflicts, shifting global values, etc.
With its specific forward-looking perspective, the next EAYW event aims to contribute to the further implementation of the current European youth work and youth policy frameworks. Based on the experience of the previous editions and the Futures of Youth Work research, the 4th EAYW event should be a space for open conversations, reflections, discussions and hands-on experiences, leading to outcomes that support the further development of youth work. The event should bring together 150-180 professionals from the European youth work community of practice for knowledge-building, peer learning and networking and a joint exploration of steps that need to be taken by youth workers and youth work as a field of practice, to evolve further in view of its shifting role.
As a member of the EAYW team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to preparing and implementing a challenging and inspiring international event and to enable the participants to jointly explore emerging and future societal developments and their possible impact on the role of youth work, identify and learn from promising examples of practice addressing them, and build the knowledge and capacities of youth workers and the youth work field to prepare for these changes.
We are looking for facilitators with experience in facilitating large-scale events for different stakeholders in European youth work and/or related fields, able to work in residential, online and blended environments and having knowledge of main themes, frameworks and developments in European youth work. In particular, facilitators should have relevant experience in and passion for the theme of the EAYW: how to support innovation and future-readiness in/of youth work as a response to emerging and future trends, challenges and uncertainties.
