Webinars: Meet your future – Tools to navigate the future of youth work (December 2025 – February 2026)

In the European Academy on Youth Work (EAYW), we support the professional development of youth workers and other professionals involved in youth work practice, policy, and research. In a context of fast-changing realities, we invite you to explore how youth work can engage with emerging trends and future challenges.

 

“Meet your future” is a series of three interactive online webinars designed to strengthen future-related awareness and “future readiness” in youth work. Building on the Academy’s work on the Futures of Youth Work, the series offers practical methods to start future-oriented reflection in your team, organisation, or youth work community.

 

Each webinar is a 2-hour dynamic and participatory online session where you can “taste” selected tools and explore them together with colleagues from across Europe. The webinars are connected as a learning journey, but each session can also be joined as a stand-alone activity.

Webinar 1: Exploring futures and future readiness – 16 December 2025, 10:00 – 12:00 CET (Zoom)

This webinar introduced different ways of thinking about the future and the concept of future readiness at both individual and collective levels. During the webinar, two tools were explored: Types of Futures and the Four Quadrants of Future Readiness.

Webinar 2: Widening horizons and shifting perspectives on the future – 22 January 2026, 10:00-12:00 CET (Zoom)

This webinar supports us in broadening our focus and strengthening our ability to see the future from multiple perspectives. We will explore two tools from the Futures Toolbox: Three Horizons and the Window to the Future game.

Webinar 3: Dealing with change – 12 February 2026, 10:00-12:00 CET (Zoom)

The final webinar focuses on change: what challenges and growth opportunities the future may bring, and how we relate to them. To explore change at organisational and individual levels, we will use two tools: Fields of Change and How do I relate to future changes.
