Youth Work Growth Cycle is a tool, intended primarily for groups, organisations, regions or countries that haven’t developed systematic training of youth leaders and youth workers.

The importance of quality and indicators is increasingly being discussed in youth work. Indicators are often “forced from outside” as youth work hasn’t got enough power to develop their own. The presented tool – which is actually a quality system – enables the youth worker as an individual or a group of youth workers to improve the active participation and motivation of the young people in their structures, step by step.

The tool is based on the recommendations of a wide range of experienced youth workers. It translates the recommendations on quality that are usually incomprehensible to grassroots youth workers into practice. It contains six areas, twenty processes and a bunch of ideas for concrete actions that can help you build your organisational culture into a more participative one.
